LOCAL SERVICE DELIVERY FOR HIV AND AIDS ACTIVITY (LSDA)
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed a Five-year Cooperative Agreement on August 12, 2020, with Uganda Protestant Medical Bureau (UPMB) to implement the Local Service Delivery for HIV and AIDS Activity (LSDA) in the five USAID regions of East Central, Eastern, Acholi, Lango and South western Uganda.
Under this CA, UPMB plans to work with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to achieve LSDA objectives, which aim at contributing to the achievement of the Government of Uganda and PEPFAR goal of reaching and maintaining HIV epidemic control and ending AIDS by 2030. UPMB will engage CSOs/CBOs to implement community level interventions to address critical gaps in HIV/TB service delivery specific to district and regional contexts. CSOs and CBOs will be expected to extend reach for HIV/TB integrated services through coordinated community-level activities, working with other community structures and Private Not For Profit (PNFP) health facilities.
Local Service Delivery for HIV and AIDS Activity announces the release of a competitive Request For Applications (RFA) seeking applications from qualified CSO/CBOs to address the gaps specified in the RFA program description found at the UPMB address below and UPMB website: www.upmb.co.ug. This RFA provides a total of up to 20 CSOs/CBOs grants in all the regions, with individual grants ranging from UGX 30m – UGX 150m for a period of 12months.
