Mr. Karukoma is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) No.0901032 and Full member of the ICPAU No.FM3432 with over 15 years progressive senior experience in finance, accounting, management and complex administration of Multi-Donor funded organization, Gordon is also familiar with USG Rules and regulations for acquisitioning & contracting, financial management, budgeting and reporting requirements for international development fields, with knowledge of latest project management tools.

He has undertaken specialized trainings in Financial Planning, Management & Control, Reporting, Compliance review, Auditing, costing and prior direct experience in procurement process and procedures. He has strong knowledge of general local and international accounting practices, laws, reporting standards, finance and grants management processes & procedures, alignment of financial performance to programmatic performance, ensuring effective and efficient utilization of resources.

Gordon has 10 years of dedicated experience in management of PEPFAR, Global funds and other international donor projects with total annual budget of $28.65M i.e., PEPFAR (USAID $10M, CDC$20M), Global Fund $ 28M, Irish AID 0.5M euros and Research projects $0.8M. He has designed and set up financial Management systems, spend plan tools, payroll systems, financial trackers, Internal control systems, reporting templates, risk tracking tools and automated 80% of business process/systems that have ensured successful implementation of projects. He has demonstrated supervisory experience and advised the financial operations roles at 4 project sites, within the five regions of Uganda, has led teams of over 50 local national staff within finance grants and administration, executing succession and career growth plans.
